A NEW SERIES OF LIMITED-EDITION ARTIST COLLABORATIONS DESIGNED TO BE EXPERIENCED THROUGH TOUCH

Edition 01 · Jon Pilkington

Every TACTUS edition begins with an artist. For our inaugural collaboration, we are honored to present Wool Hunter of Gotland, an original work by contemporary artist Jon Pilkington. Known for paintings that balance observation, memory and imagination, Pilkington's work invites a slower way of looking. Through TACTUS, that invitation extends beyond the eye and into the hands.

Produced as a strictly limited edition of fifteen, each TACTUS release is crafted using museum-grade papers and archival inks, honoring both the integrity of the original artwork and the experience of engaging with it. Edition 01 marks the beginning of an ongoing series of collaborations with contemporary artists, each inviting a new way to experience art through touch.

The Artist

Jon Pilkington

b. 1990, Merseyside. Master of Fine Art with Distinction, Chelsea College of Art and Design, 2013.

Jon's work is an exploration of process based figuration within painting, focusing on how loosely figuration can be defined. The work seeks to question where the boundary lies between the abstract and the figurative and how that can shift through process and perception.
